Ingrown Toenails
What are ingrown toenails?
Ingrown toenails are a common condition in which the side of a toenail grows into the skin. This can cause pain, redness, swelling, and sometimes infection.

What is the treatment for ingrown toenails?
There are many options for surgical treatment of ingrown toenails. Your surgeon will discuss these with you at your consultation appointment. These treatments can include removing the nail (web resection or complete nail removal) or removal of the surrounding skin (Vandenbos procedure).

Attached is a printable sheet with pre and post-surgical instructions for the Vandenbos procedure.
