Gallbladder Surgery
(Cholecystectomy)
What is Gallbladder Surgery?
A laparoscopic cholecystectomy is a surgery in which the gallbladder is removed by a ‘keyhole’ or minimally invasive approach. You may need this surgery if you have been diagnosed as having gallstones that are causing you pain by blocking the flow of bile. This is a common procedure and is done as a day surgery.
